Thursday’s Mailbag!
anonymousWhat are your favorite comics to read?
I read the usual comic books such as Batman and Spiderman, however I’ve taken to reading graphic novels. My favourite ones are: The Boys, Wanted — which if you watched the movie, I suggest you read this it’s nothing like the movie even I liked the movie a lot, and of course X-Men, along with anything with Deadpool.
My collection is pretty stale now so definitely leave your suggestions in my comments! If you have anything you want to ask just go here: http://goo.gl/f0nZ :)
Oh, the horror!
Remember Amy? Remember how Amy the downloadable horror game was suppose to be exclusive to Playstation? Well guess what? It no longer is exclusive to Playstation, but now is going to be available for Xbox live. That’s great, right? Well, I’m pretty annoyed that the once Playstation exclusive game is going to be available for download for all Xbox systems on January 11, 2012 where as the game will not be available for Playstation users until January 17, 2012. I’m not even going to bring up why they delayed it for Playstation, because it’s just ridiculous. However, I’m excited to see Amy and her gorey ass friends on my Playstation. So in the meanwhile there’s a few demos that were released this week to keep us busy! Both titles are available on both platforms.
Asura’s Wrath
Final Fantasy 13-2
I’m definitely going to play these demos and possibly give you my first impressions on these gems once I’ve completed them. If you’ve already played these demos, please feel free to leave some comments!
Hello, to a new year!
I’m so very sorry for such a late post, especially since we are already 9 days into the new year, but I’m still writing 2011 on everything because I’m just that special. However, I still wanted to do a new year’s post, okay? Every year my new year’s resolution is to not have a resolution well this time I’m breaking my own rules and this time I have one single resolution which is…to play more video games.
You see I have a very active life as I have a loving boyfriend, friends, a job, and classes to manage. I do have the weekends off but that’s usually to catch up on homework, friends’, but most of the time boyfriend time because he helps me burn a lot of calories so he’s pretty important. However, my boyfriend won me a copy of Skyrim and that game has so much to do, but I’m determined to at least finish the main mission…. I’m thinking that I should make a promise to finish Skyrim first then buy new games…. Yeah right. That’s not practical of me at all. So, the main goal is to play more games and complete as many games as possible as well.
Now, if you have any pointers or tips on how to get in more game play I’d definitely appreciate it
Hey there, Xbox Live Friends!
Semi – exciting news friends!
I’ve got an Xbox! I only say semi exciting because I will probably still be mainly on Playstation 3, but I am excited to be able to play some of the exclusive titles like uhm, Gears of War 3, and possibly Halo. Mind you I’m just naming popular ones because I’ve never had an Xbox! I wonder what games I should get, I wonder what you’re all playing!

I love my laptop, notebook, portable computer. I really do. It is small, reliant, portable… Who the fuck am I kidding? I like my laptop for school, I love it because I can be even more lazier than I already am, by snuggling in bed with my pretty aqua polka dot sheets. Watch movies with my boyfriend in bed, play a serious game o f Taipei in bed, notice the pattern? Everything is in bed.
I don’t feel powerful when I am in bed, I feel lazy and sleepy. I fall asleep sometimes when doing homework, movies, you name it. I love the convenience of the notebook, it’s sick; however, I can’t help but miss my desktop a lot. It was supposed to be fixed but it never happened, unfortunately. It is okay because I’ve decided to just build another bad ass machine. My friend compiled a list of parts, and I can’t wait to build this thing. The building of a wonderbeast is such a huge event I’m thinking about doing a video of the process.
The huge motivator for this is I’m willing to pay people to design my website and honestly, I haven’t had anyone that I felt could undertake this project. I mean if you think you can feel free to email me, but I feel that I should stop being lazy. I can design and code my website by myself. I’ve been doing so for about 15 years so why stop now? Oh yeah, because I really don’t like designing on my laptop and I know there are alternatives and blah blah blah, but it’s time to get the ball rolling…
Electronic Entertainment Expo better known as E3 is just around the corner, and I figured by the end of this year I would have a business card or something. I don’t which makes me sad. Despite everything I’m happy to have an excuse to build a new computer. I can’t wait for this place to be cleaned up and made cool! Thanks to anyone reading this and for ignoring my boring layout! Another milestone is coming up. This is my 95th post, 5 more and I’m at a hundred!
I had a livejournal and it took me 3 to 4 years to get to 100 posts so this is semi-epic to me….now, who says I don’t care about video games?
Somewhere between Skyrim and Arkham City there was me…
Hey there!
It’s been awhile and I apologize for the length of time I’ve been missing, but I’m happy to let you know I’m fine I’ve just been gaming! ☻ Oh and I’ve been trying to give away video games on my facebook page, please, go like it! I’d very much appreciate it because once I hit 100 likes I’ll be giving that [game] away.
Starting off with Arkham City because it’s the last game I beat and thoroughly enjoyed because of everything about it. I’m definitely going to be writing a detailed review on Batman: ARkham City that will be up eventually, but in the meanwhile if anyone is having a problem deciding on purchasing this game, I’m going to make it easy for you. Go get the fucking game. There ya go. The game play is stellar, there’s not a single moment of boredom at all, catwoman, robin, batman, alfred, joker, and everyone else is amazing, the inmates are what kept the game fun with their commentary without them it’d been harder to complete as the game is a bit intense and there are a few wtf moments, but I did cry at the ending.
Had my hands on Modern Warfare 3 for a bit, in fact my Redbox receipt was $32– Ouch! I really liked the campaign it was fluid, but didn’t really care for the story much, the thing that made me squeal the most was the submarine chapter. Don’t hate. I just get so excited over water scenes in games, I have no clue as to why. However, I’m not going to lie I’m super conditioned in playing zombie mode because I’m feigning some Call of Duty: Black Ops. Now, before you ask the obvious question, which is better? Battlefield 3 or Modern Warfare 3? Battlefield because the graphics are gorgeous and it’s a stronger game, where as if you’ve been playing Call of Duty for a while you won’t be disappointed at all by Modern Warfare 3.
Can I tell you something? Skyrim was not top priority on my gaming list like at all, but with all the amped up facebook statuses from my friends and the little nudge that redbox sent me I decided to jump on the boat. I’m really glad that I did because The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim has been intense, exciting, addicting, and refreshing. I’m definitely not someone that is really into RPG, but I enjoy this game a lot. I don’t remember what level I am on but to be safe I will say I’m on level 4 which I know for sure I completed. Now, if you’ve got the machinery to run this beast on a computer I’d tell you to opt in that direction. Playing on Playstation 3 is awesome, but on PC it’s breathtaking. Right now, I heard the game is going for $39.99 which is the lowest dip in price I think it will go for quite some time, which is great, and I believe after the holidays it will go back up to the normal $59.99. Also, speaking of dipping prices…. uhhhh Rage is only $20 on Amazon right now. Totally tempting, right? Then I remembered I haven’t even battled my way through Borderlands yet so I’m passing on this dirty gem.
Other than all of that I think you might be seeing me on Xbox live soon as Christmas is right around the corner and Santa knows I’ve been a good girl. I’ve been uploading random videos on my youtube channel: http://youtube.com/heyitszeldaxo, and because I love Zelda so much (hence, my name) I’m working on getting a Nintendo Wii just because of Skyward Sword, and I know if the game blows (which it won’t!) that I can still rely on Mario Galaxy to console me, right? I love that game.
Please, accept my apologies on slacking hard on the posts. Once I renovate this website there will be a lot more going on. Until next time, keep gaming hard! ♥
Pool of Excellency
I was super excited when I received my copy of Game Informer. However, I am still partially sad that I never received the copy with Zelda on the front cover, but I’ll be okay because Optimus Prime is pretty frickin’ spectacular!
There’s so many amazing games coming out in the next month. Batman: Arkham City has already dropped and receiving godlike reviews. Gametrailers gave it a 9.3/10, and Game Informer Magazine gave it a 10/10!
Unfortunately, I overestimated my paycheck so I wasn’t able to pick up on the release date, but I will be picking it up on November 4th, 2011. Yep, right when everyone will have finished it already!
My facebook is overloaded with playstation sync data from my friend’s latests victories in the game. Whenever I sign on playstation no one’s screen name says netflix underneath anymore, it’s Batman: Arkham City. Jealous much? Yes, but it’s all my fault. I just need to work more and cut out food expenses and possibly, start walking everywhere.
In the meanwhile I’m still very excited for Need for Speed: The Run! I finished playing the demo last night, and really enjoyed the adventure in Denver, Colorado. It was a bit intense, the handling was great as if you tried to race down a mountain in real life in those conditions you’d probably be dead or seriously injured. However, I did play Split/Second’s demo and the handling is much better as there’s a lot of turns I know if done in Need for Speed I would have wrecked/died.

Enough about racing games as I know most of you are anticipating the dates!
- Battlefield 3: Tuesday, October 25th, 2011
- Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception : Saturday, November 1st, 2011
- Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 : Tuesday, November 8th, 2011
- Skyrim: The Elder Scrolls : Friday, November 11th, 2011
- Assassin’s Creed Revelations : Tuesday, November 15th, 2011
- Need for Speed: The Run : Tuesday, November 15th, 2011
I was nervous just watching this! I can only imagine playing it, but I have no worries as I’ve beat every single Hitman game!
Until we meet again! Work hard! Game even harder! ♥
